Sophie and Aaron:

I am in love with their relationship. I know they went through some struggles during the first half of the book with their arguing however, I feel like ever since Sophie went to his fight, it's changed things. 

It seemed like all Aaron wanted was her support so now feels like he has it and they are the CUTEST. I love how he has the serious fighter side but is also able to show his playful and softer side with Sophie which just expresses the love.

I think Sophie relies a lot on Aaron - what with her not having someone older to rely on due to not being close with her parents, I feel like Aaron is the comfort for her. I think if they ever did break up (which I really hope they do not) that she would find it incredibly difficult.

I'm definitely rooting for them as a couple and we will see more of their relationship in coming chapters, what supporting role Aaron plays but also some challenges they face in terms of his fighting. 

Jess and Jack:

We've seen things between them be very back and forth and you never know what to expect. We know that Jess definitely likes Jack a lot and I am 100% sure that Jack likes her too however, i'm scared and curious as to whether it is another fling for him.

I think he would definitely move much faster than this usually however, I think because Jess isn't rushing things back he's having to tame his ways and take his time. I think the advice Aaron gave Jess was a good one however, I really don't feel as though she will follow it.

In future chapters (sooner than you think), things may start to pick up and something might happen which provides insight to another side of Jack but also some honest truths from Jess!

Juliet, Brad and the mystery guy:

So we know that Brad started a rumor claiming that Juliet slept with him, to make himself look good. From this, it only causes arguments and tension and a whole lot of drama for Juliet.

However, Brad hasn't disappeared yet and still keeps showing his face. This means that he's obviously not done in the story yet and I feel like it might be because Juliet doesn't stop hanging around with him. 

I'm worried that maybe she will still like him (for some crazy reason) and still try and get to spend time with him. 

Moving on to the mystery guy who kind of saved her from speaking to Brad... we still don't know who this is but as a hint -----> he's not shy, he's new to the school and the reason he moved to this school is because he got kicked out of his last one.

Walking into the old building, Sophie felt a chill down her spine as she looked around at the familiarity of this place. It wasn’t exactly the same but it was similar and that was enough to bring all memories of the past back. She had been too young to fully understand anything about what went on in a place like this however, she had seen enough with her own eyes to always fear everything about it.

Looking to the ring, stood proudly in the centre, her eyes dazed as she began to recall the vivid image of him taking swing after swing while also embracing the impact in return. She recalled him taking a hit he was clearly so proud of before turning to look at her with a cheeky and reassuring grin while she began jumping up and down and clapping her small hands.

She was innocent to the danger that surrounded his life, completely unaware of the harsh reality that occurred behind the scenes. How was she ever to know? She was young, still had so much to learn, and she was always protected from the worst while only being shown the best.

1. Sophie and Juliet - parents

The story left off with Sophie and Juliet's parents coming back to Brighton to live with them due to Juliet struggling at school and the rumors that were going around about her.

This storyline will continue and we will see the struggles they have with having their parents back and what could come of this.

It may also put a strain on Sophie's and Juliet's relationship as they both have very different ways of dealing with it.

2. Jack and Jess 

The last chapter of these two was when Jack stayed over Jess' and they kissed! There was a comment about that being the first time both of them had experienced those intense feelings but for different reasons - this will soon become more clear.

3. Aaron and Sophie's rocky relationship

Sophie and Aaron's relationship has been rocky from the start of the story and just as things get good again, something ruins it. We know that Sophie not going to Aaron's fights bothers him and we know that Candice always being around and Aaron not showing much sensitivity bothers Sophie. Therefore, we will find out whether they learn to overcome these differences or if things do have to come to an end.

4. Juliet and Brad

We know that Juliet really liked Brad however, he then spread that huge rumor about them sleeping together to which she stuck up for herself about, like a boss! We will find out if she forgives him and continues to go after him like she did before (i'm hoping she gets some sense and doesn't).

5. Who is Matt?

There will be a particular scene that introduces Matt so there isn't much to give away however, he is a 17 year old sixth form student and is new to the school Juliet and Bella are at.

6. Who is Corey?

He's friends with Jack - they are both on the same uni football team. He will also become quite a big part in this story (but with both similar and different personality traits to those he holds in Bad Desire). He's still a bit of a player - much like Jack in many ways and that's all there is to giveaway for now.

7. Brooklyn Lawrence comes to Brighton

Jess is going to meet Jack's little brother unexpectedly.

The story is going to cover the lives of the main characters which include:

3. Juliet Carter
4. Jack Lawrence
5. Aaron Harris

They will each have their own storyline which you can follow along with and it will tried to be written in a way that covers enough about each one.
It will be like 5 different stories, all put into one - with the additional characters playing key roles.

OK... so the title was a bit misleading haha! But this post is to focus on what the remaining chapters mean for the end of bad desire and whether past antics may be repeating themselves as a contributor towards the finale of the story.



1. Jay and Lauren

We know that Jay is getting serious with Lauren and that he really likes her. We also know that he was very eager to get divorced from Steph so does this mean he wants to propose to Lauren?

If he does, this could also be a hint that things are about to get disastrous. He was engaged to Nessa and that never worked out so this could possibly be time repeating itself once again?

2. Juliet is pregnant

We know that Matt and Juliet seem to move very quickly... when it comes to kids and marriage. Therefore, maybe this baby is also a jump too soon?

We know Matt wasn't too keen before he knew she was pregnant so maybe it's a sign that he's going to find it all too much once again and not stick around.

Especially with Jay back in the picture, there is a risk that if Lauren and Jay don't last, they could join forces and start the gang up properly again.

4. Sophie/Kaia/Corey/Aaron

In previous books we saw a Sophie, Aaron and Corey love triangle going on and it caused a lot of drama however, all was finally resolved and Sophie and Aaron ended up together.

However...

Is this Corey/Kaia/Sophie drama the start of that behaviour reoccurring. I think it's already obvious that Corey wouldn't turn Sophie down if that offer happened however, Sophie is the one I have trouble deciding about.

Half of me thinks if she was placed in a certain situation, she might fall back into old habits with Corey. I still think she has a lot of her old self inside and it's just a matter of who/when for whether it comes out or not.

I'm not sure that she sees Corey as 'husband/boyfriend' material... Aaron is definitely that for her however, I do think she does still have a sensitive spot for him as it's a sense of excitement.

I also think that Aaron has calmed down a lot since marriage and that Corey still holds that spark of mischief/drama that Sophie clearly longs for. I think Corey would involve a lot more trouble for Sophie (something she doesn't need but seems to gravitate towards). However, Aaron keeps her a bit more calm and prevents her from getting involved in antics and doing stuff Estee probably did at Sophie's age (which lead to a lot of screw ups).

.... and I also thinks she loves having them both wanting her... I mean come on, what girl wouldn't want two guys chasing after them? haha

I also think Kaia is fully aware of this, hence why she got so upset/angry. She likes Corey a lot and feels like Sophie could snatch Corey up if she wanted to so feels threatened... even though it's her friend.

If any of this is right then it could mean that the antics that occurred in their 20's, might just happen as the finale of the bad desire (SITC) ending.

4. Jack is working long hours again!

It was mentioned that the long hours are just because he is busy at work however, we know how sensitive Jack is to stress. Therefore, the fact he is currently living away from Jess and is fighting a court case with Jazmine over Kian, is going to make him really vulnerable.

If he doesn't turn to Jess for the support he needs there is a high risk that he could fall back into that horrible state he got himself into before.

And if I want to read into this anymore than I already am... If the Sophie/Corey thing happens, that leaves Kaia free and could mean them two experience something between them once again.

This would also bring them back to their 20's antics.

As we saw in the previous chapter, Kaia and Corey slept together over Christmas!!!!!
I am half shocked and half not as there is something about them both that makes me feel like they will always go back to each other to mess around.

I think it's going to be a really complicated situation because Kaia obviously likes him and Corey still has his mind set on not settling down. We also know he has a girlfriend, so I'm curious as to what is going to happen there.

Secondly, I am also SO happy that Sophie and Corey are in a chapter together again. This is probably an unpopular opinion but I LOVED the chapters where there was that kind of love triangle with her, Aaron and Corey.

I love their friendship and I love how honest and brutal they are with each other. I also love that we know how attracted Corey is to Sophie (and probably always will be) and how he uses this to annoy Aaron too. It's such harmless fun that takes them back to their reckless 20's and I love it!

We will see a bit more of Corey as he's not leaving Brighton yet... and will he really leave for good again or will he decide to stay? Hmmm...

If he stays and goes back to the garage we know it will not only cause some tension with him and Aaron working together again but it also means it gives him and Kaia more opportunities to mess around!

So as SITC is going to carry on for a little while longer, here are a few hints of what might possibly be coming up....


1. Steph finally gives in and speaks to Jay

We know from a previous chapter that Jay was really struggling to get hold of Steph but was really desperate. Why was he desperate? For a few reasons...

1. He knows Anya is living with her and wants to see her
2. He knows Steph is upset with him and wants to talk
3. He wants to get divorced... ouch!

You might remember that in the last few chapters of Bad Desire, Jay married Steph so that when he 'died' (aka vanished from existence), Steph, Jess and Anya could have everything he owned (aka a whole bunch of savings). Therefore, now that he is slowly trying to live a normal life again and come out of hiding, he doesn't need to be married to Steph legally.
Technically she was no longer married to him when he was 'dead' however, now they know he is alive... a divorce is needed.

What will that mean for Steph?

Will she be happy about it?

Will she be upset/hurt?

Um....

AND

What will Lauren think?

Why is Jay in such a rush to get divorced?



2. Jack and Jess are going to be living apart...

In the previous chapter we found out that Jess and Jack are going to be living apart due to the whole Jazmine situation. However, what will this mean for their relationship? Well, it will definitely cause some strains... but don't worry, not enough for a break up!!

We know Jack has issues when it comes to opening up with how he truly feels and instead copes in the worst ways. However, hopefully this time he will learn not to take that road and actually use Jess' support to cope with what will cause a lot of stress.

This situation will make both Jess and Jack realise how important the family who love and care for you are and how sometimes you have to let any hope in those who don't show it go.

Also... just another hint, the kids are going to freak out over it a little. Their last memories of living apart were the times their parents broke up, so they will definitely be a bit confused.


3. Aaron is smoking again and Sophie doesn't like it

So we have seen that Aaron is back to his old bad habits and just because Sophie is back from New York, doesn't mean they are going to stop.
Sophie not being pregnant, alongside a new job offer are going to cause even more strain in their relationship which will just cause Aaron to rebel more.

We know Aaron still has his younger laddish side to him deep inside, so that will definitely come out.
Alongside that, we know how Sophie can get when she has an idea in her head, especially in relation to work. No matter what her dad or Aaron say to her, she won't listen.

Uh oh...


4. Juliet and Matt are having another baby!

Soooo Juliet happened to be the one who was pregnant but what does this mean for hers and Matt's relationship?
They are both know for rushing into things in the past - children, engagement, marriage and moving - which has just caused huge drama for them and never worked out.

Will they manage to take things a bit slower this time? (probably not considering they are already having another baby)... but maybe they'll hold back on the marriage this time and not jump at that too soon? that's definitely more likely and the question won't be asked for quite a long time (if at all) so maybe their relationship will last longer this time.

hmmmm....

ALSO will Matt quit the gang for his family? Maybe...


5. Why was Lauren so angry at Jay for not caring about Juliet and Matt's baby news?

I thought considering they are in the Christmas spin off it would be a good idea to do a little update on the other Lawrences aka Connor and Gemma plus their children!

I have loved Connor from the moment he joined the book as although he is similar to Jack, he is much more mature and their relationship is a fun one considering they are very competitive.

Even though they are not main characters, their relationship is still one I appreciate a lot. They have been together since they were at uni (so around 20) and at the age of 36 and 35, they are still going strong!

They also have a family of 3 now compared to their 2 in the previous books:

Lucas Lawrence - 8

Lily Lawrence - 7

Lacie Lawrence - 1 month

As a little update on what we know about them at the moment...

They are back living in Brighton, as they have been for a few years now and chances are, they will stay as Louise isn't very well.

They moved back a few years ago due to wanting to be closer to their family. So they packed up from London, quit their jobs (which is quite a big deal for them as they meant a lot to them). We don't know what they both work as but they do now work in Brighton.

We also know they don't live far from Jess and Jack - which I'm sure is great for the kids.

Connor and Gemma are also married - this wasn't fully written in the story but it was mentioned and happened within the past few years sometime.
