Okay hey hey hey hey!!!!! This post is so exciting because it confirms that there IS GOING TO BE A SPIN OFF!!!!!

How long will it be? I don't know. Anything from one off chapters to a few more.

What will it be like? It probably won't follow a story like structure and instead will probably just be scenes. However, some parts may follow after each other.

Where will it be posted? Probably wattpad.

When will it be posted? Once the epilogue is finished.

How often will it be posted? Not as much as bad desire was and instead just random chapters whenever lucie feels like it.

there is no commitment to this story and it's just a bit of fun to explore the characters in different ways. However, I am excited that there is a spin off and below is a little sneak peak of it.

There is a collection of character profiles for the main characters (there may be more added) and it shows the characters age, a bit about them and how their life currently is!

Jess Montague

Age: 22

Occupation: Gang member

Relationship status: Single

About:

She was disowned by her family as a child and taken in by a man called Buddy to form a gang. She has dedicated her whole life to this gang and has been swept up in this style of life.

She lives in a house with the rest of the gang members and especially gets on with Jay Gibson. He was sold by his family as a child to Buddy and has been in this gang ever since.

The pair are extremely close and have been through a lot together.
Relationships aren't something that are accepted in the gang therefore, the pair do a lot of sneaking around to spend time together without making things official.

She is extremely confident, quite intimidating and gets exactly what she wants when she wants it. Jess isn't all that good at following rules and always prefer to do things her own way.

Jay Gibson

Age: 23

Occupation: Gang member

Relationship status: single

About:

He was sold by his parents to Buddy when he was a child. He was 'too much hard work' and they needed to get rid of him. 

He has four other brothers, one younger and three older and one younger sister.

He doesn't get on with them anymore due to what happened and because they have created their own family gang. However, he did always used to look out for his younger sister Juliet before he was sold by his parents.

Jay also lives at the gang house and is extremely close to Jess.

He is a huge troublemaker with zero feelings (apart from when with Jess). He isn't a great person to be around and he fears nothing.

He is a lot of work yet he is extremely good at what he does.

Matt Russle

Age: 23

Occupation: gang member

Relationship Status: single

About:

Matt's parents were killed when he was younger so him and his brother (Todd Russle) went their separate ways.

They both joined gangs but different ones and Matt is apart of the same gang as Jess and Jay.
The brothers don't get on at all and act as complete enemies.

He lives in the gang house with them and many others. He is a huge party animal and spends his time getting with so many different girls. He loves the lifestyle and wouldn't change it for anything.

About: 

Previously was a huge party animal (but still is) and was always out with her friends. She dated countless of boys (still does) and also had a thing with a guy named Todd Russle. 

Sophie ended up getting pregnant with his baby and after that, they both had a really rocky relationship.

Todd left the moment he found out and he was back and forth ever since. He treated her really badly and when their daughter was a few months old however over a year later they are back together but things are rocky.

Sophie tries to juggle practically being a single mum while working part time at Topshop and attending uni.

She lives at Todd's place with their daughter.

Daughter: Willow Carter

Age: 2 years old

About: She absolutely adores Sophie to pieces however, is cautious around Todd and tends to shy away from him.

Todd Russle

Age: 26

Occupation: Used to work at Topshop - now a gang member (Gibson/Cole's gang)

Relationship Status: Relationship with Sophie Carter

About: 

Used to work at Topshop and this was where he met Sophie. The pair dated for a bit but as soon as Sophie fell pregnant, he left.

Since then he has been back and forward in her life however, they are now back together yet their relationship is rocky.

He has moved out of Brighton and then come back yet no one ever knew where he went.

He's involved in a bad way of life and is unsafe to be around. He isn't a very nice person and is extremely selfish.

He currently lives in his own place and Sophie and Willow live with him.

He barely sees his daughter as he's always out until late and comes back when she is sleeping so he just has to see Sophie.

He seems to just want to be with Sophie but not have his daughter in the equation.

Jack Lawrence

Age: 22 years old

Occupation: Works at his family garage business

Relationship Status: Single

About:

Jack spends 60% of his time out with his friends, partying and 40% of his time working at his dad's family run car business. He's a huge player and goes from one girl to another. He's never really looking for a relationship and instead just likes spending time with different girls.

Jack lives with his friend Aaron Harris, whom also works at his dad's garage. The pair have been best friends since school.

Him and Sophie have been friends since they were kids. Their family are good friends and Jack's mum Louise spent a lot of time looking after Sophie as a child while her parents worked.

Jack looks out for Willow and Sophie as he doesn't approve of Todd being in their life.

Aaron Harris

Age: 23 years old

Occupation: Works at the Lawrence garage.

Relationship Status: In a relationship

About:

Much like Jack, Aaron spends most of his time out and the rest of it at work. However, he is in a relationship so a lot of time is also spent with her. They have been dating for around 6 months.

He lives in an apartment with Jack and his girlfriend sometimes stays over as she currently lives at home with her parents.

Aaron is also good friends with Sophie and like Jack, looks out for Willow. Both guys have been there for her even though they were both never really child lovers.

Kaia Tate

Age: 22 years old

Occupation: Works at Topshop

Relationship status: Single

About:

Kaia is best friends with Sophie and has known her all through their school years. Much like Sophie, she is a party animal and is always out with friends and the guys. 

However, unlike Sophie she doesn't date lots of guys and instead has just been looking for something a bit more serious... but not found it yet.

She lives at home with her parents and two brothers.

She works at Topshop with Sophie and has also been there for her throughout the whole Todd situation.

Bella Harris

Age: 21

Occupation: Student

Relationship Status: Single

About:

Aaron Harris' younger sister. She is best friends with Sophie and Kaia and is currently studying at a uni in Brighton.

She lives at home with her parents and unlike Kaia and Sophie, is not all that interested in guys right now. Instead, she is extremely focused on her studies and trying to get the best degree she can.

About: 

Cole runs his families gang.

It consists of himself, three of his brothers, a few others and his parents.

He lives in Brighton with his girlfriend and spends all of his time focusing on his dangerous way of living.

He is extremely heartless and a cruel human being. Nevertheless, this really does not bother him.

Juliet Gibson

Age: 20

Occupation: Works at family bar while being an aspiring gang member.

Relationship Status: Single

About: 

She is apart of a family of gang members however, she isn't treated the same as them.

While her stepfather Jonathan is happy for her to join the gang, her mother Rebecca won't let her.

She doesn't believe it is safe for her so is doing everything to keep her out of it.

Juliet really wants to be apart of it because she doesn't like being treated differently than her brothers.

Therefore, she is extremely determined to become apart of it no matter what it takes. 

She spends a lot of time following her brothers around and trying to get involved, occasionally Cole will let her as long as her mum doesn't find out.

OKAY so the chapter happened and I cried. Jay actually got killed and the way it happened was so incredible. It's BEYOND SAD that he's dead but it was amazing what happened alongside that. Not only did he kill Buddy but he also killed every single person working for him in that gang!!

How insane is that??!!

Jay Gibson actually managed to take on all of those guys even though he did lose his life in the process.

I think that chapter made it clear just how selfless Jay could be. He wasn't always the nicest person and did do some shit things but at the end of it all, he put everyone else before him.

Why did he make plans with Lauren when he knew what was going to happen?

I have two guesses for why this may be...

1. He did it to prevent her from worrying and potentially provide her with some comfort.

Maybe he wanted to make sure she was okay and happy before he left. He knew filling her with some hope and excitement instead of sadness. Maybe it was also an attempt to get her to leave Brighton as he thought even though he wasn't actually going to be there with her, she would still do it.

2. He actually thought he would make it out alive.

Maybe he didn't think things would go as badly as they would. Maybe he had a speck of hope that eh would survive and they could leave together.

Regardless of how sad it is, I'm glad he went out doing something he loved. Jay had always been so focused on the gang and trying to make it the best it could be and he definitely did that.

He held it all together and now I'm just worried about how it will all fall to pieces now that he's not there. I have a feeling the gang will eventually break or they will realise that they need to pull it together for Jay.

Either way, I will most definitely miss Jay and all of the trouble he has caused hahaha!

Jess Lawrence

18 - Living life as she always had as a gang member.

19 - Met Jack, starting seeing each other & fell pregnant just before she turned 20.

She was spending a lot of time with him which the gang didn't like and neither did Jack's friend. It was made worse when she fell pregnant. However, both of them ignored their comments and continued happily.

20 - She moved into an apartment with Jack and Ellie was born.

She had previously been living alone as she moved out of the gang house for personal reasons.
Jess then settled into 'mum life' with Jack and learned to cope with being young parents and also their still very new relationship.

21 - Jess fell pregnant with Harvey.

It was a year later when Jess and Jack made the crazy decision to have another baby. It was a huge surprise to everyone as they had previously been not the parent types however, after Ellie they realised how much they loved it.

22 - Harvey was born and Jess moved into a new house with Jack.

Their family was growing and they decided to take that next step in their relationship. Jess was still juggling mum life while working in the gang at this point which was a bit nerve wracking for them all due to the safety.

23 - Jess was spending some time in Vegas with the gang and she also announced yet another pregnancy with Mia.

This pregnancy wasn't planned however, it was very much appreciated. She was extremely nervous as the gang was getting intense at this time. 

24 - Jess was caught in a bad accident due to the gang. Mia was born and Jess decided to quit the gang.

It was for the safety of her family that she made this decision and as much as she missed it, she knew it was the right thing to do.

Also 24 - Jess and Jack got engaged and also married!

There were some positive things to come along with her sad leave from the gang.

25 - Jess fell pregnant with Addie.
Addie was born but prematurely. Jess and Jack went through a tough time because of this. They broke up.

They were both dealing with Addie's situation differently and it lead to a lot of arguments. The pair ended up breaking up as it was all getting too much and began seeing other people. Jess was briefly seeing a guy called Wyatt and her and Jay had a very brief thing.

26 - Jack suffered a bad accident and as a result serve memory loss. Jess dedicated a huge amount of her time in helping him get better.

She was by his side and guiding him through recovery. It could have been a much worse outcome but they were extremely lucky and things improved. This was a huge test for their relationship but they worked through it just fine.

28 - Jay returned to Brighton and this was when him and Jess finally reconnected. It took some time but she managed to get through to him. Jess fell pregnant with Theo. Jess and Jack also went through a tough time due to finding out that Jack was Kian's dad.

29 - Jess and Jay's friendship continued to be rekindled and they ended up kissing.

This caused minor issues, yet they were resolved. Jess was confused by her antics with Jay at first but knew that there was nothing more to it. Jack was always the person she wanted to be with.

Also 29 - Jess celebrated her 10 years of marriage with Jack.

They managed to push past the tough times and focus on the good times. They celebrated their 10 years in Paris and took the title of the longest lasting couple haha! GOALS.

Also 29 - Theo was born!

As Bad Desire is coming to an end :( I thought now would be a good time to have a catch up on the characters and summarise some key facts about them. So much has happened that this will be an easy way to get an overview about them and their life :) I am going to be writing about Juliet Lloyd first and then others after.

I'll be using the Character Timeline that was posted a while ago as reference!

Juliet Lloyd:

16 - Left School and got a job working at her dad's business.
18 - Met Matt Russle and got into a relationship with him.

They dated for 2 years and then briefly broke up when she turned 20.

20- Met Dylan and got pregnant/had James.

Dated Dylan for about a year.

21 - Got back together with Matt and Married him in the same year. She also fell pregnant once again with Hunter.

Things were tough for her and Matt during this time as he was spending a lot of time in Vegas. It caused a strain on their relationship.

22 - She had a brief breakup with Matt before getting back together and sorting things out. She then made the decision to move back to Vegas with him.

Things didn't go quite as planned and she ended up coming back from Vegas a year later as it all got a bit too much. Her relationship with Matt was suffering and it wasn't a good environment for the children.

23 - Moved back to Brighton and got divorced from Matt. Then shortly after got back into a relationship with Dylan.

She was married to Matt for about 2 years and a half but things didn't work out in the fairytale way she had hoped.

24 - Things with Dylan were going good and they moved in together. However, shortly after Matt and Abbie (his new girlfriend) made a surprise visit and stayed with them for a while. They claimed that it was so they could 'hide out' from the hectic gang life but it turned out to be more to do with Abbie secretly being Juliet's sister.

25 - She fell pregnant once again with Dylan's baby and finally had her little girl, Grace. Dylan also proposed to Juliet.

Things went extremely well for the couple doing this time except one minor glitch when Juliet thought Dylan was cheating - turns out he was sneaking around trying to sort the perfect wedding plans.

26 - Juliet went through a tough time with Matt - where he was trying to get custody of Hunter. The pair ended up kissing outside the court which in turn lead to Juliet and Dylan's breakup.

They realised they were not right for each other and their relationship had just been something to fall back in. Juliet soon realised she needed to stop thinking about Matt or Dylan and think of herself so started a degree to become a teacher.

It's now questionable if Juliet is seeing Matt or not.

No matter if they have played a bad or good character and no matter if they had done some terrible stuff or been an angel, I LOVE EVERY SINGLE FEMALE CHARACTER IN BAD DESIRE.

The reason??

Because Lucie has made them all DIFFERENT and that has made them all relatable in all different ways. Some people may be able to relate to Sophie but not Juliet and then some may be able to relate to Juliet and not Jess and Sophie etc...

I think that's one of my favourite things about this book as none of the characters have the same personality. So I'm going to just speak about the main ones to get my point across...

Let's start with...

Sophie Carter

She has always been the life of the party, full of confidence and a female boss. She's been obsessed with her career, always had a trail of guys after her and a huge social circle. Alongside that she has struggled with issues around having a baby, she has had problems with parents who divorced and having to do a lot for herself as a child (leading to her being hugely independent as an adult).

These are all things that some people can relate to and I think her character has shown that a female can do anything a male can do and that it's also possible to be a mum while also having an incredible career. I think the main focus of Sophie's character was always for the equality side of things and I think she portrayed it extremely well.

Main points about Sophie people can relate to in real life: Confidence, Trying to please a large social circle, Loneliness (even with a huge social circle), Independence, Female Boss, Parents divorced, Miscarriages, Adopting children and Falling out of love with someone.

Juliet Lloyd

Juliet has always been so much quieter than Sophie and preferring a much more toned down lifestyle. She seems more comfortable around just a few friends than a huge social circle and chooses the nights in over the nights out.
She has always seemed focused on family life and wanting a long term commitment boyfriend/husband over jumping from boy to boy.

She has also struggled with adoption and of not knowing who her real parents are. She has dealt with the single mum life and eventually learning to put herself first too. She has also started a degree and begun working on her career, showing that it's never too late to do all that for yourself.

Main points about Juliet people can relate to in real life: Family-orientated, Shy, Extreme love for kids, Preferring nights in with friends over nights out, being adopted, hopeless/old-fashioned romantic, Self-care (in finally realising you need to do more to make yourself happy).

Jess Lawrence

She started her life in a pretty bad way and had to deal with some really tough things growing up. She was taking part in extremely dangerous things as a child and was thrown into this life that was just a pathway to death. She managed to grow up fast and learn to look after herself and used her striking confidence to get through life. She has always stuck up for herself and fended for herself, rarely relying on anyone else.

Moving on from that, she has shown that no matter how bad a situation is that you are in, you can fight your way out of it. She has shown that you can make something better of yourself by allowing more people in and by knocking down some barriers. Jess has also shown that young mums can cope and are not complete disasters, as she went onto to have an even bigger family.

Jess' character has probably shown the biggest transition from being completely reckless, to a loving mum/family woman.

Main points about Jess people can relate to in real life: Confidence, Having a bad start in life, Overcoming that bad start, Teen pregnancy, Huge motherly instinct, Being an incredible stay at home mum with a big family, Stand-offish and having trouble letting people in, Sassy personality, Strong (mentally and physically).

As the story is coming to an end, I thought I would do a post dedicated to Jay Gibson!
He has caused a lot of drama over the story but he has also been a key character that everyone has mixed opinions on.

Sometimes I love him and sometimes I can't stand him so I thought I would focus on both!

Here are a few things I love and hate about Jay Gibson!

1. I can't stand his obsession with the gang and need to revolve his life around it!

There is so much more to life than killing people and it seems like he is blinded by the gang world. All he seems to care about is getting to the top and dragging people down along the way.

2. I love how he does look out for the gang and wants to protect them.

He may do stupid stuff but one thing that's obvious is how loyal he is to the gang. He looks out for them and although he does dangerous stuff, he does have them in mind.

3. I hate how selfish and mean he can be.

He seems to just be so rude towards everyone and acts like he hates everything in this world. He is selfish in that he will break girls hearts and not have a single care in the world. Unless you are part of the gang, he doesn't owe you anything so he won't do a single nice thing for you or even care.

4. I love his friendship with Jess and Steph!

It's obvious how much he does care for them and would literally do anything for them both. He's always felt like he needs to protect them and be there as none of them have had their family around. They seem like the only people he will show his sensitive side to (minus Lauren) and I love love love that!

They are 3 messed up people with messed up lives yet when brought together they provide the best support for one another.

5. I hate how even though he is a complete and utter arse ALL THE TIME, I still can't help but love him!!!

There is something about Jay that just entices you in. He's so mean yet so captivating and no matter what he does I always find an excuse for him. IT'S CRAZY!

I think one of the main reasons is because he DOES have a soft side. He may try and hide it but deep down he is such a caring and loving guy. He would probably do more for anyone than he lets on or just does it in secret anyway!

I love love love how we are seeing his sensitive side yet again through not only Jess and Steph but Lauren now too!

6. I love how mentally strong he is.

He has put up with so much shit throughout his life yet is still going strong. He just takes anything that is thrown his way no matter how much it hurts and gets on with life. Regardless of what he does, I do think that is such a good mental attitude to have.


I don't want Jay Gibson to die buuuut if he does, then at least he's definitely made the story VERY interesting haha!

OK so I have fallen in love with Lauren and Jay!!!! I think the whole thing between them is the cutest thing ever because of how different they are and what Lauren does for Jay.

However, I can't help but worry I'm getting too excited over something that could be a trap. Due to the twisted mess most characters in Bad Desire bring, I feel a little on edge and like I shouldn't fully trust Lauren yet!

She's new to the story and I want to believe that she is truly there as a genuine love interest for Jay. HOWEVER, what if this is a trick and she actually has other alternatives?!?!

I don't know. Maybe I'm just being too suspicious but I'm trying to not get my hopes up for a cute romance just in case she turns out bad or something.

BUT:

let's just have a recap on this girl and a little bit about her...

She is a 28 year old Irish girl.

She used to live at home with her mum and sister until she was 26 then she moved to Brighton because she wanted to get out of her comfort zone.

Since being in Brighton, she has got a job working with children who are waiting to be adopted/fostered. 

She has never been in a relationship as it never interested her at the time. Instead, she was just focusing on herself and trying to be the best she could be.

She doesn't drink - beating all stereotypes that make us believe it is 'normal' for everyone and if you don't drink you are 'not normal'.

Jay is the first person she has felt true feelings for.

She doesn't know anything about Jay's past or what he does - so this may put her off but we don't know yet.

She does however, know that he isn't all that innocent and is interested to find out more.

Why do I think she is good for Jay?

Because Jay is an idiot who is letting the gang spiral him out of control.

If he had of stayed in Vegas he would have completely lost himself.

Being back in Brighton changed that and since being around Lauren, he seems much happier and content.

I think she could save him from letting the gang consume him and he could actually find true love with her.

Why I love Jay and Lauren?

Because they are so adorable.

Just the simple things such as Jay shielding her and trying to stop the gang from seeing her. He wants to keep her safe and out of the gang life even though he is in it.

Jay is a mess who is on the road to disaster and she is like the sweet innocent angel who can bring some peace to his life haha! While it also takes away some of her innocence which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Lauren Nieves

(played by Carlson Young)

Age: 28

Occupation: unknown

About: She first came into the story on Chapter 107 in Bad Desire Fast Forward.

She is Jay's girlfriend.

She is innocent to the gang life that he lives in and Jay is trying to keep it that way.

As quoted in the story... 'Jay wasn't prepared to put anyone else at risk for the sake of his actions ever again'.
