I wanted to do a blog post talking about the Todd-Matt-Sophie situation because it's all starting to make so much sense now and my heart is ready to burst.

So obviously we've seen the immediate difference between the two brothers. We know that Matt was brought up by their mum to have a heart whereas Todd was brought up by their dad to be cold, heartless and numb. That's impacted how they are as people now for sure.

We've seen that Todd is desperately trying to get out of the gang life at the moment. He's NEVER wanted to be a gang member but kind of got shoved into it and then didn't know how to escape it. But now he's finally made the decision to just disappear as he thinks this is the best way to do it.

From my point of view, it seems like because he is so numb to any feelings, he's ended up putting sending his whole gang to their death beds and being selfish because he doesn't feel the impact of what he is doing. There are other ways he could have gone about it that may have just hurt himself a little bit yet spared the lives of those around him however, he;s been incapable of seeing that.

I think this aspect of Todd will be what makes Sophie so important. We have already seen that he had a sudden experience of feeling something when in her presence, so she is obviously the key to bringing him back to life as such and making him feel human again.

However, at the same time, Sophie is a very fiery character so they are obviously going to clash and I think thats why they never survived for long periods of times and it look until they were in their 40's to finally come together again as they had both matured.

I am excited to see how their relationship shaped itself and how things were between them. Because I feel like if Todd knew that Sophie was important for some reason, he wouldn't have treated her like he did other girls. But then I feel like if he was too nice to her, she wouldn't have fancied him as she always seems to go for the troublemakers, so who knows?

In terms of Matt, I think he will take losing Sophie to Todd hard as it will feel like a repeat of Lara. But what he won't know is that Todd isn't doing it to be spiteful this time (well he probably kind of is) - but the deeper meaning is that he just knows there is something about Sophie and he can't just let that go.

So I think because Matt is oblivious to this, that's why him and Todd were never able to reunite and just get past their difficulties. Because if you think about it, when Todd got out of the gang Matt no longer had anything to be jealous of. Todd finally had what he wanted too so they should have been able to see things differently, so it will be interesting to see how they felt during that period and why they never reconnected. Also, why Sophie never urged them to reconnect either!

Also, I think Matt losing Sophie was always going to be for the best. Even though Matt comes across with a really tough exterior, he wasn't brought up to be that way. Deep down he needed someone softer (and Sophie definitely isn't that). He needs someone who would be willing to give their whole life to him and be there to comfort him 100% through everything, even when he thinks he doesn't need it. Sophie was never going to give him that, she hasn't been brought up to be that way whereas Juliet has. That's why I feel like they definitely worked better in the end.

Considering there have been a few chapters added to 'The Russle Brothers' book, I thought I would post a character profile to go along with it!

Although the story is based on Bad News characters and does hold a lot of similarities, there will be some differences. However, the character profile is practically the same.

So in the new update chapter we found out that Hunter has become a bit of a troublemaker. Although this is going to cause Juliet so much stress, I am kind of excited for it... oops!

It was only a matter of time that Hunter started acting out as it's in his blood. His dad has spent his whole life causing trouble, so it's only natural for Hunter to follow his ways.

I also love the timing of it all too. Matt and Todd are ONLY JUST growing up and getting past that stage and they are in the 40's!!! Just as they are moving away from those ways and maturing, it's Hunter's turn to step into their shoes.

I think it's going to be so good (if we get more chapters on it) to see that side of Hunter come out. He has always been a little naughty out of all the Russle/Ellard children but he has been too tame for a true Russle.

Juliet is going to be dealing with a Matt 2.0 and although it should be easier as she's done it before, I think Hunter will have very different ways and cause his own sorts of trouble. He will want to push boundaries and will have his dad's ways as an excuse to get out of it!

I don't even think there is a high chance of Hunter listening to Matt or Todd either. They have both been causing trouble their whole life so he will always be able to bring that up!

I'm excited for troublesome Hunter and I think it's about time he took over from his dad and uncle haha!

After the intensity of the new bad desire update chapters, I couldn't not share my views on the whole Sophie/Todd situation!

Those chapters were so powerful and meaningful and I was so emotional reading them!

Sophie passing the responsibility of management over to Todd is a HUGE deal. She is giving him full control of everything. She is basically making Todd the new her by leaving him in charge of the designs and everything that goes on with the company.

This truly shows how much she must really trust him and how she believes in him too. That business is her whole life, it is like another baby of hers. She has worked so hard for that her whole life and would only ever allow someone she truly trusts to take control. We all know Sophie is a perfectionist when it comes to her work, so she wouldn't just pass it over to anyone.

She must know that Todd will do a good job otherwise she wouldn't have given him this. After everything he has done, it would be expected that she wouldn't trust him at all with her pride and joy. However, even through all of their difficulties, she clearly does.

She could have made the easier decision and put her mum's name down. Estee probably doesn't know a whole lot about the fashion world however, she is a strong businesswoman and would know how to keep a business going and putting the right people into the right jobs to ensure it is a success. However, Sophie took a risk and gave Todd the chance instead.

She knows Todd is good with fashion, she knows he has an eye for it, no problem. However, she is taking a risk by putting him in charge of everything.

The fact that she put his name down means she is willing to give him another chance and also probably wants to do this to help him from falling back into a trap of the gang world again.

I love that even though they didn't work out in the end, she did still love and care about him enough while also believing in him in a way nobody else has ever done. It makes me so sad that they won't ever get to experience that love together again.

I do think Todd will agree to take on her business though. I think deep down he knows it too. This business is everything to Sophie and he has always been her biggest supporter. He will want it to continue to be successful for her sake, because he loves her. I genuinely think Sophie did the right thing by putting his name down. I think it will really save him, even if it is sad that she won't be there to see it.
