In the next chapter Lucie is going to focus it on Jay and Matt and it will come in two parts.

From then on it will lead onto a series of chapters that will give new answers to the questions that were asked in Bad Bets.

The answers Jay's parents gave out were not all fully accurate and you will see why soon...

Jay's curiosity sparks a new storyline in the book ready for 2016!!

This post is just going to be me showing what I imagine the character's houses to be like. This may not interest people but things like their houses, the cars they drive and the way they decorate their house are all things I would be intrigued to visually know haha! (because i'm nosy).

Obviously reading isn't a visual thing so I am going to present in photos how I imagine them in my head. You may have other visions so I would be interested to know if you do.


Sophie and Elliot

Lucie has mentioned in the story that they live along the sea front - I am not sure if they live in a house or an apartment but either one, I imagine it being very modern.

So whether it is an apartment:

Sophie Carter's Parents (when they were together).

In comparison to Sophie, I see them as previously living in something not so modern and a little more old fashioned. I don't know why, they just seem that kind of type. So maybe something like this: (or maybe even more old fashioned than this).

Jack and Jess' new house (and now just Jack's)

We all know from the book that Lucie has presented the Lawrence's as a very wealthy family. From the business to money being passed down. So taking from how Lucie wrote about the new house they brought together before Addison was born I can imagine it being something like this:

Again, like Sophie and Elliot I feel like it would be very modern and of course has a huge drive for his cars haha!

Jack Lawrence's parents

Again, a wealthy family but I feel like they would have something that was extremely homely. With the mention of huge family get together's that Lucie always writes the lawrences as having, it would be big too. So maybe something like this:

Juliet:

I am not sure if she still lives with her parents as she broke up with Matt, so if she does I could imagine her parents living up a cute traditional street, in something like this:

If she lives in her own place, I could also imagine her living in an area that is very similar or maybe right in the town in an apartment?

I couldn't really vision what I think the gang's house would have looked like, nor what their individual apartments looked like when they lived alone.

As Bad Desire will continue into 2016 here are some hints of what is to come:

1. Gang Drama

We go back to Vegas and see what is going on with the gang. They have some troubles related to a particular someone and have to make some tough decisions that could change everything.

2. Juliet's parents

We recently found out her parents were the Gibson's, but were never given the full story. More will be revealed eventually by Jay Gibson himself. 

3. Jack does something risky

Lucie didn't tell me much about this because said it would give it away, but he does something risky. That is all.

4. Jess's new choice

Jess makes a new decision which changes things.

5. Matt & Abbie

There is more to come on them and that will all be happening in 2016.

Do you remember Connor Lawrence? Brother of Jack Lawrence? Also envisioned as being beautiful!! (heart eyes).

Well he is back in the book very soon, alongside his fiancée Gemma and two children.

I'm not sure about you guys but I am very excited. I loved their brotherhood and also love seeing more about Gemma and their family.

It will be good to see all the Lawrence's back together.

You will also find out a bit more about their parent's teen years and more about their family in upcoming chapters too. It is going to be interesting and unexpected due to how this family is now.

Okay, so it seemed about right and fitting to the story that there was another update in character ages. I feel like in terms of the story timeline it would have been roughly a year since the last character profile. 

This does not mean a year has passed since the previous chapter and it does not mean that all the characters have suddenly turned this age. Some of them could have turned this age a few weeks or months before this post, or some of them could turn this age in a few weeks/months after this post. This is just a rough update in ages and to also add new characters.

Lara Anderson will make a brief appearance in a chapter where you will see a bit more of her than you have so far.

A few of the other Vegas characters will too... so this is a little hint to get you thinking :)

With a lot of 'dad themes' coming up in the story at the moment, I wanted to dedicate a whole post to the dad's of Bad Desire! This won't be including the parents of the parents, but the main character dad's. I am going to discuss a bit about them and also my opinion on each of the characters.

Jack Lawrence:

I think most people will be able to agree on this one that Jack has this role under control. Even though, much like Matt and Jay, being a father wasn't something he envisioned for himself, he stepped up to the job and didn't run away from it. Through everything that has happened he still remains there for the children and puts them first... and doesn't run off to a different country and forget they exist.

Even though him and Jess are going through a rough patch, he still makes sure the kids are okay and are getting the same amount of love and attention.

Yes he makes mistakes, but I think that's just what happens with parenting and you learn as you go along. I think he would be the guy out of all the dads, most people would want to be the father of their children haha!


Jay Gibson:

During the whole of the Bad News series I never saw Jay as the 'dad type' so when we found out he was going to be one, I was a bit skeptical about how he would be. To be honest, he lived up to my expectations.

First off he never seemed that bothered about the fact he has a daughter and when he moved to Vegas that topped it off. He doesn't appear to ever see her, nor seems bothered. Instead, his main focus is the gang and he doesn't even think about the daughter he has probably wondering what happened to her dad.

I sure hope he doesn't get anyone else pregnant as those poor children will also be dad-less haha.

Disappointing Jay Gibson! Tut, tut, tut.


Matt Russle:

I used to think he was actually quite a decent dad and although the gang was an important part in his life, he didn't shut out his role of a dad like Jay did.

However, he also made a bad move like Jay and moved to Vegas. From there, he also seemed to shut his children out. He doesn't pay visits, he doesn't seem to be bothered that he isn't making effort and this is sad as he started out well.

I think maybe for him it's about 'looking good' in front of the other gang members. If they are not bothered about those sorts of things, then he won't be either.

Again, disappointing Matt Russle.


Lastly, I just wanted to mention Elliot Lloyd - yes I know he is not a dad yet but I feel like if he was, he would probably do a good job too. He seems the type and also seeing how desperate he wants a child, makes me believe he would be.

Kaia Tate

She is a friend of Sophie Carter's/Lloyd and has known her since school.

She goes out a lot with Sophie/Jack's friendship group, including Aaron from Jack's work.

She is 24 years old.

She works at Topshop alongside Sophie.

Her likes: Shopping, gossip and nights out with friends.

Her dislikes: People who are too serious.

Lucie has said that she will probably do a Bad Desire Christmas spin off!!!! :D

But there is a catch... she has a few ideas but for it to actually happen she needs a few more.

Lucie gave me the opportunity of deciding on the character profile for Kaia, Sophie's friend in Bad Desire as she does not yet officially have one!

Am I the only one who really wants a Bad Desire Christmas spin off?

I think it would be really cool to see what all the characters get up to at christmas, especially because all the relationships have changed so much.

I would be so curious to see how they all spend it and who with.

After a lot of begging I managed to get the SHORTEST sneak peak ever for one of the future chapters.

It's the Aaron and Jack chapter and Lucie isn't sure when it will be up.

But hopefully from the small part she gave me you can make up theories in your mind of what might happen. In the mean time I will try and pester her for more haha!

Sneak Peak:

“Why are we stopping here?” Aaron looked to Jack as he parked up outside the supermarket.

They were supposed to be going straight back to Jack’s, however he had instead taken an unexpected turn and given no warning.

“I need to get a few things before I get the kids back tonight.” He replied, making his way out of the car.

“Since when did I become your shopping partner? I don’t give a shit what you put in your fridge, Lawrence.” Aaron leaned over the hood of the car, watching as his bestfriend just laughed in response.

“Dude, just come on, we only have an hour.” 

The pair then made their way inside, Jack still finding it hilarious how bothered Aaron was by doing the daily shopping trip with him. It wasn't at all a big deal, but considering the circumstances, Aaron was making a much bigger fuss. So, once they had entered the shop, Jack headed straight for an isle he knew would make matters one hundred times worse.
