Part 64 - Bad Desire: New Generation

"I can't believe you're making me find a new roomy, dude!" Reece forced a shocked expression on his face, considering he had very clearly seen it coming.

"Try not to cry too much, yeah?" Harvey remarked with a grin on his face, as he taped up yet another box.

That grin on his face was one that Reece was glad to see. It was a happiness that he recognised in his friend so well but one that only one particular woman was able to give him.

As Lottie walked back into the room, carrying another box full of Harvey's things, Reece watched the exchange carefully.

"Do you really need all of this stuff?" Lottie asked as she placed a bunch of random items onto the sofa.

Harvey didn't bother peering inside and instead just wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his head on her shoulder.

"Yes babe, I need it all." He replied as she leaned back into him.

"I don't think you do. We don't need to fill our home with your random crap."

Twisting around in his arms, Lottie was now looking up at Harvey with raised eyebrows. However, Harvey seemed to ignore her comment regarding his 'random crap' and instead had focused on something else.

"Our home." He repeated, the words rolling off his tongue with a soft tone.

"Yeah... our home. Our very first home." Lottie replied, not being able to contain her own smile at the thought of it.

Looking up into Harvey's eyes, she saw that warmth and love swirling within them. None of this felt real. It still felt like she was living in a dream and somebody needed to pinch her awake.

However, this was all very much real. They were having a baby. They had just bought their first ever home together, and all of that had happened after a fairly dramatic few months.

"24 years old and we're having a baby plus have just bought a house. That's not normal, you know?"

Harvey was right, it wasn't normal and they both knew that. Everything about their situation had been abnormal and occurred in the most unusual string of events. However, it seemed as though their breakup hadn't broken them as they expected and instead, it had only brought them closer.

"It's terrifying..." Lottie mumbled as she wound her hands around Harvey's neck, while running her fingers gently over his skin. "But I'm just so so glad that I get to do it with you."

Closing his eyes at Lottie's touch, Harvey then leaned forward and gently brushed his lips against hers. As his hands then wound around her body, their lips connected in a sweet but passionate kiss.

In that moment they were lost within one another, the world around them completely blocked out. Every emotion, every feeling that was flowing through them was expressed in that single kiss, filling them with a sense of happiness and warmth.

"I love you." Harvey mumbled as they briefly pulled away, causing Lottie to smile into yet another kiss.

"I love you too. So so so much."

"I know we've been through a lot of shit to get here but trust me, from here on out, I'm going to give you the best life. I'm going to dedicate every second of it to making you and this baby girl happy."

As Harvey placed his hand on Lottie's stomach, she felt a wave of butterflies flow through her. The reality of the situation was sinking in and she was beginning to realise how quickly their lives were going to change.

Although she was nervous, the excitement was fully taking over at this point. Being back with Harvey, buying a house together, was all the confidence she needed that this was for the long run. They were back on track and she trusted him with every part of her.

She loved him more than anything and she knew that he felt the same way. So there was no doubt that when their baby girl arrived, that the love between them would just grow and grow.

For the first time in months, Lottie finally felt content. As she looked at the man stood in front of her, she saw the Harvey Lawrence she had known at school. The cheeky but loving guy who didn't let anyone else's opinions sway what his own mind wanted.

He had seen something in her that no other guy ever had. He had fort the expectations and gone for the quiet girl with good grades. He had connected with her for who she was and not let the opinions of his friends sway his own mind.

Love was a crazy thing and it was never meant to be easy. But when you found it with the right person, it had the power to make all of the hard times worth it, because you knew that the good times would feel even more incredible.

"Do you want to go and take a look at it?" Harvey asked, causing a confused expression to fall across Lottie's face.

"Look at what? The house?" She asked causing him to nod. "But it's not finished? I thought it was still being done up?"

Pausing for a moment, Harvey glimpsed over at Reece who was watching his friend with a knowing smile on his face.

"We finished it yesterday..." Harvey trailed off while grinning so big it looked painful. "...surprise!"

Lottie's mouth instantly dropped open in complete shock at his response. Harvey had been working on the house with his dad and a few friends for the past few weeks, and as far as she had known, moving into it would have been a last minute rush just before the baby was born. However, that didn't seem like the case and instead he had been sneakily getting things done behind her back.

"It's finished? Already? Are you serious?" Lottie questioned again, to make sure she had heard him correctly.

"It's finished, baby." Harvey replied while digging into his pocket for the key, before holding it out towards her. "...and I think it's about time that you saw it."
